We proudly offer our beautiful 1965 Buick Riviera GS in White over a Black interior.  This 1965 Buick Riviera is highly desirable as it is the only year for the clam shell headlights, giving it the look of its original design.  Of those, only 3,354 cars featured the A9 Gran Sport option code.

The Riviera A9 Gran Sport is powered by 360 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque produced by a 425 ci Super Wildcat “Nailhead” V8 fed by dual 600CFM Carter AFB four-barrel carburetors and a special, dual exhaust utilizing larger 2.25-inch pipe with fewer turns to reduce backpressure.  While our car did have an engine block change at some point in history, a proper LX coded engine block is in place.  Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Super Turbine 400 3-Speed Automatic Transmission and a 3.42 Rear Axle with a Limited-Slip Differential.  The Super Turbine 400 produces ultra-smooth transition between gears through the use of a combination of overrunning clutches and multi-disc clutches.  Car and Driver magazine even referred to this transmission at the time as “without question, the best automatic transmission in the world.”  Vacuum-assisted braking is handled through 4-wheel 12-inch finned-aluminum drum brakes, considered at the time to be the best in the industry.  Other features include a heavy-duty suspension, power steering, air conditioning, AM/FM radio with user selectable acoustic reverb effect, power operated antenna, power windows, power driver’s seat, and tilt steering wheel.

The first-generation Riviera is considered a styling landmark and is quite collectible today.
